Fujimori Will Resign Within Two Days
秘鲁总统藤森两天内辞职
　

President Alberto Fujimori, whose 10-year authoritarian rule has crumbled in recent months over corruption scandals, said he will resign within 48 hours.

　　The written statement from Fujimori came during a visit to his ancestral homeland of Japan. It followed similar statements from top government officials.


authoritarian：独裁的, 独裁主义的；作为一个日本移民，藤森至今已经担任秘鲁总统10年。
crumble：粉碎, 崩溃；
corruption：腐败, 贪污；藤森这次被迫下台与他的贪污丑闻有关。
ancestral：祖先的, 祖传的；藤森祖籍日本，这次出访日本算是回了老家，也有人说他是寻求政治避难。

Peru’s Second Vice President Ricardo Marquez says Fujimori has asked him to preside until after special elections are held in April and a new president takes office in July. An announcement was made on Peru’s major news radio station.

preside：负责，指挥，统辖；藤森辞职后，副总统马克雅斯将在明年7月新总统上任之前代理总统职务。
